State budget
Florida's budget is the General Appropriations Act, which the Legislature passes each year and the governor signs, with the power to veto individual items. The revenue estimates the budget is built on come from the state's consensus estimating conferences, coordinated by the Legislature's Office of Economic and Demographic Research. The budget bill, its implementing and conforming bills and the governor's veto list are public records, and Dorworth News reports the budget from those documents.
